BORDERED BY THE ATLANTIC OCEAN in the north and the Caribbean Sea in the south, this easternmost and smallest of the Greater Antilles portrays a vast variety of tropical fauna, a rich cultural heritage and the intermingling of old traditions and newly acquired customs. Puerto Rico is a beautiful Caribbean Island, with literally miles of beaches, incredible caves to explore and great food.

Puerto Rico enjoys year-round warmth, and an average annual temperature of 77 degrees. Dependable easterly trade winds keep the island comfortable and the skies sunny most of the time.

More than 3.2 million people live in Puerto Rico, with one-third of the population concentrated in the San Juan metropolitan area. Spanish is the primary language, with English a strong second language.
