ISU World Senior Figure Skating Championships going on
to March 17 to 23, 2008 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Victoria Muniz entered
the Senior Worlds
competition as Puerto Rico's first ever ISU Senior level
competitor. Muniz reached 29th place in a field of
53 Ladies. Muniz scored 38.41 points besting her
performances at the USA and Great Britain JGP events
this season. Unfortunately, this position did not
earn a
spot in the second round to perform the Free Skate.
Appearing on the medals podium were: 1st Mao Asada
JAP 185.56 pts; 2nd Carolina Kostner ITA 184.68 pts; and
3rd Yu Na Kim KOR 183.23 pts.

2008 Puerto Rican National Championships
The 2008 figure skating championships were held at the Igloo in Mount Laurel, NJ on
Saturday, March 15, 2008. Andrew Huertas claimed
the Puerto Rican Men's title with a score of 127 points.
Diana Reina claimed the Puerto Rican Ladies' title
besting Alicia Bell and Abigail Guerrero (who came in
2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the Junior Ladies
division). Jacqueline Garcia earned the
Juvenile Ladies title. More pictures and
