Learn-To-Skate Program

COQUISKATE

CoquiSkate is PRFSF's flagship learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners. When you sign up for CoquiSkate you will be in a program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. You will earn certificates and other incentives as you learn fundamental skating skills. Lessons are given in a group format and led by our World International level coach professional coach. More certified coaches will be added at a later date as the program grows.

Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active with continual movement of skaters and a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment and promote learning. CoquiSkate is the feeder program to all other PRFSF Programs, leading to the International Olympic level.

Why sign up for CoquiSkate?

CoquiSkate is based on Canada's only national learn-to-skate program. This is a program of international acclaim It was developed by experts to teach the fundamentals of skating in a progressive and sequential manner. It is the largest learn-to-skate program in the world. Puerto Rico's CoquiSkate has been developed by our Canadian International Coach, PRFSF's new Technical Director, Richard O'Neill.

CoquiSkate Teaches The Basic FUNdamentals of Ice Skating!

The 6 stage program provides skaters the basics to enter all ice sport including Figure Skating, Hockey, and Speed Skating. Whether your goal is to achieve Olympic fame or simply enjoy the recreational benefits of skating, CoquiSkate is for you! Graduates of CoquiSkate will be be able to skate forward and backwards with great balance and speed. Skaters will learn basic turning techniques. Plus, skaters will develop basic introductions to jumps and spins. Fun! Fun! Fun!

ALL SKILL DEVELOPMENT IS DIVIDED INTO THE FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENTS OF:
