Welcome to the Puerto Rican Figure Skating Federation (PRFSF), recognized by the the Puerto Rican Olympic Committee, Comite Olimpico De Puerto Rico (COPUR), as the governing body of eligible figure skating in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The PRFSF is comprised of individual members who are figure skaters of Puerto Rican ancestry, who have at a minimum one year residency in Puerto Rico as outlined in ISU rule 109 and coaches.

In October 2004, the PRFSF became an official (provisional) member of the International Skating Union (ISU). The ISU is the exclusive international sports federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) administering Figure Skating throughout the world.

The mission of the Puerto Rican Figure Skating Federation is to encourage participation in the sport of figure skating and to provide opportunities for those skaters who have the talent and commitment, to reach the highest levels.

The Puerto Rican Figure Skating Federation pledges to:

  • To serve as the governing body of eligible figure skating in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
  • To establish and maintain the rules for the conduct of the sport of figure skating
  • To select and develop a national team
  • To organize and conduct competitions
  • To serve its membership without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation or national origin
  • To assist in the creation of affiliated clubs
  • To promote the sport of figure skating
  • To appraise  coaches, judges and officials of our progress and developments; and
  • To raise funds in support of its work.
